What a show this past weekend for POWW Entertainment when the company returned
to the VFW in Elk Grove, IL! It included several amazing match-ups and
some long awaited returns. First off the POWW legend Black Iron returned
to take on "Ruthelss" Ramon Rodriguez! Also making a surprise
showing was "The Flyin' Hawaiian" Kanoa, who incidentally came
to Black Iron's aid after Ramon was putting the beat down on him after
their match. These former friends may be set to collide, but "Devious"
Don Dynamite has made a challenge to Kanoa for June 1 at Summer X-plosion!
DOn claims that Kanoa has not been around and does not deserve a spot on
any show over the Devious One himself! So Kanoa will have to go through
Dynamite to get to his former friend Ramon.
The Rebellion and Super Villains of POWW had one hell of a night as well
with many of them getting the best of the POWW Loyalists! William Jacobs
beat Vinnie Riot, in a first win for himself since returning, Skitz Jones
beat David Hokinson after Hokinson took himself out by colliding head first
with a steel post. Also Brandon Blaze beat GQ in a non-title match, Brawn
the Lumberjack scored the win over C.J. Idol and Ramon Rodriguez got the
better of Black Iron. It left many POWW loyalists scrambling and injured
by the time the night was out. Commissioner Bob Parrela is finally beginnning
to flex his muscle! It could be bad news for POWW!
On a lighter note, the main event was Eric Freedom and Chris Cairo vs Logan
Scott and Stonewall with the person scoring the win getting a match at
Summer X-plosion for Scott's coveted World Title! Logan was looking to
score the pinfall himself and recieve the night off for Summer X-plosion,
but that was not in the cards. Eric Freedom and Cairo had been working
well together but a few miscommunications were causing them to lose their
focus and almost gave the Rebellion an opening for the win. But in the
end, The Indy Icon Eric Freedom stood tall and proud as the winner and
new Number One Contender for the POWW Championship!
