The aftermath of two shows in one night is leaving a brutal trail that
will end at SlamFest on February 25 at the Al Hattendorf Center! After
a freak snow storm, POWW held two shows in one night and the bulk of that
show was the rest of Round One and Round Two of the new Regional Television
Championship tournament! After a series of matches, David Hokinson, Trevor
Blanchard, Zain Ramsey, Jimmy Blaze and, by no-show, Eric Freedom fell
out of tht Tournament in Round One. As for Round Two, this was quite a
different story. Mitch Blake and Vic Capri ended up having such a volent
match with so many run-ins, the match wwas thrown out. More on that this
Tuesday. As for the rest of the matches, Vinnie Riot fell to the returning,
and on a roll, Gorgeous GQ, Milad Akbar lost two Joey Cece, Chris Cairo
was screwed by the Rawbone Roughnecks when he lost to Devious Don Die-namite,
and Brawn the Lumberjack edged out Superstar Billy Ray. This leaves former
Regional Champion Brawn the Lumberjack to take on Gorgeous GQ in the semi-finals
and former TV Champ Don Die-namite to take on Joey The Pitbull Cece!
In other news, Ruff Crossing was forced to ref the Number One Contender's
match for his own POWW World Championship, between Ruthless Ramon and former
champ Kanoa! He was ordered to call the match fair and not interfere, including
his fellow Rawbones, or he would be stripped of the title. Other than slow
counting and a few attempts to get the two contenders to hit him, he did
just that. He even attacked the Rawbones when they tried to interfere.
After everything broke loose he called the match when both Ramon and Kanoa
laid their hands on him. In the end Jimmy Blaze announced that both men
were Number One Contenders and Crossing would face them both in the cage
at SlamFest!
